SOIL MODIDIFICATION

This is another area where our firm has great expertise. Sometimes, depending on the nature of the subsoil conditions, conventional spread and strip footings or deep foundations are not the most cost effective. In such cases we consider in situ soil modification. This is a process whereby the soil conditions are modified by either physical or chemical means or both to achieve stable subsoil conditions. Examples of this soil modification process include the following:

• Cement stabilization
• Cement and chemical grouting
• Jet grouting
• Compaction grouting
• Dynamic and vibrocompaction
• Stone columns
